Surface tension and fluid wicking are the secrets of the HydraMat, giving it the amazing ability to draw from nearly any area that has contact with fuel and then store it in its internal reservoir. As an area of the HydraMat is uncovered, the tiny pores of the media seal off through surface tension, forcing fuel to be contained in the reservoir and drawn from other areas of the mat where fuel continues to be available. The sheer size and coverage area of the HydraMat allows it to pull fuel from virtually any area in the tank or cell eliminating the need for specialty reservoirs and pick up pumps saving cost and greatly reducing complexity.

Fits: Center outlet pick-up with -1/2" NPT fitting. Fitting location designed for universal use.

Installation note: This to fit flat bottom rectangular style fuel cells with minimum dimensions of 15" long and 15" wide cross_x000D_ _x000D_ For best performance, the return fuel should be discharged near the pick-up of the HydraMat at a minimum distance of 1 inch above the mat._x000D_ _x000D_ HydraMats with a female NPT thread do not require the use of a sealing paste or tape. Use of a sealing paste or tape could result in fuel pump failure._x000D_ _x000D_ For in-tank fixed stud mounting, Click Bond stud kits are recommended.  Kits can be purchased from aircraft supply retailers such as Aircraft Spruce.
