Divers Street Rods has been building some of the most talked-about hot rods in the country since 1983. Founded by Tim Divers and his brother Scott, the 14,000-square-foot shop in Sultan, Washington runs about 8 craftsmen deep and has never been afraid of an off-the-wall build — a Ferrari-powered Rambler wagon, a Subaru-swapped VW bus, a Ford GT engine stuffed into a '39 Ford shell. They're best known for the Ferrambo, which took home the Ridler Award in 2008 — the highest honor in hot rodding. Divers also runs NotcHead, a custom fastener line inspired by their build work.
We're proud to be their exclusive EFI tuner. Here's a look at the project cars we've worked on together, in their own words.
Ferrambo
1960 Rambler wagon × 2002 Ferrari 360 Modena. The car that made Divers Street Rods a household name in the hot rod world — a Rambler wagon running a genuine Ferrari 360 drivetrain, engine, and running gear. Took the Ridler Award at the 2008 Detroit Autorama, hot rodding's biggest prize. Read the full story and press coverage on our Media page above.

Big-block Chevy power routed through Kinsler electronic fuel injection on a cross-ram intake, an MSD billet distributor with Magnecor 8.8mm wires, and a Mad Dog Transmission-prepped 4L60E overdrive. Custom headers and 3-inch exhaust fabricated in-house at DSR. Shown at Pleasanton 2012.

VWRX Bus
1972 VW Bus × turbocharged Subaru WRX EJ257. Built for Mike and JoAnn Walker, this one swaps a turbocharged 400 hp Subaru WRX flat-four (donor: a 2006 Impreza WRX) into a classic VW bus, keeping the factory 4-speed automatic. Rear suspension came from the WRX donor; front end is a Mustang II clip on an Art Morrison chassis, with Wilwood brakes all around. Japanese performance meets '70s hippie van meets American hot rod fabrication.
